Central piece of a collection called Family Days dedicated to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, conceived to mark his visit to Valencia planned for July 2006 on the 5th World Meetings of Families. In this piece the Pope is wearing the vestments he wore on his first public appearance after being appointed successor to John Paul II, with best details in the cassock, the chasuble and the stole, even the papal ring is rendered. The collection includes also the liturgical objects (chalice, ciborium and paten) that Lladro is donating for the Mass at the 5th WMF.
