It’s been 6 years since a Fire Station has been part of the City. The title was inspired by 10 House, Engine Co. 10 / Ladder Co. 10 of the NYFD. Located on Liberty St. across from the World Trade Center, the department was severely damaged on 9/11. Reopened in 2003, 10 House features a 56 foot bronze relief memorial on the side wall honoring the brave fire fighters who died on Sept. 11.

With the retirement of long-standing Molly O’Brien’s this year, we welcome Murphy’s Irish Pub. Irish pride has been a strong-hold of our Village products for well over a decade. Light spilled from the corner door invites visitors inside, as well as the door to the roof top deck which we know will be crowded during mild months. The title, Murphy’s, was selected from lists of the most popular Irish surnames in the States. Presently, the Murphy clan is the largest!

Larger than I expected. Might have a problem using it the way that I intended when I set everything up next Christmas.

A highly detailed replica of St. Paul’s in Manhattan, New York.
Opened in 1766, this colonial church is where George Washington worshiped, most notably for a thanksgiving service on April 30, 1789 after taking the oath of office as the first president of the United States.
Located at Broadway and Fulton, the rear of the church is adjacent to the World Trade Center site. Some have considered it a miracle that the church was not damaged during the attacks of 09/11/01. For 8 months following 09/11, St. Paul's Chapel was a place of rest and refuge for recovery workers at ground zero. Volunteers served 12 hour shifts around the clock preparing and serving meals, administering medical and spiritual help to fire fighters, police, and construction workers.
It was 1920 when the Miami Beach boom began. One of the first hotels was the Flamingo Hotel at Bay and 15th. During the 30s, the area continued to flourish with Art Deco architecture, which it is still known for today. At the hotels, visitors were entertained by a variety of musical performances, but it was during the 50s when the sounds of Cuba became popular along the entire East Coast as well as Europe.
