Coastal Lights Series - A sandy border surrounds our collection of lighthouses. Our coastal collection is perfect for the nautical decor or for those that love the shore.
Coastal Lights addition. Since colonial times, the Chesapeake Bay has been an important avenue of commerce. This was particularly true in the age before railways and roads, when water was the most efficient means of mass transport. The 150+ mile long Chesapeake Bay is basically the sunken river valley of the Susquehanna River. Apart from a deep channel running up its center, the Bay is relatively shallow and has many shoals which pose a hazard to navigation. Lighthouses were critical to assisting ships. Of the 82 lighthouses that once marked the Chesapeake Bay, 32 are still standing.
The storied history of Salem, Mass continues to spin haunting tales and attract visitors to one of the largest celebrations of Halloween. Welcome this new series to salem, where history continues.

Larger than I expected. Might have a problem using it the way that I intended when I set everything up next Christmas.

The "Pembroke Textile Mill" represents the area where many textile mills first came to be in New Hampshire. It even has the water wheel which came about in the 19th century making it an incredibly authentic New England piece. To make this piece even more exciting, when plugged in, the water wheel turns and the building lights up as if everyone is at work making the latest fashions!
Sign making was an important craft in historic times. Artists not only painted, but hand carved signs as well. Travelers to this area comment on the uniqueness of the many sign shops still found in New England. The states of Vermont and New Hampshire both have towns named Plainfield.

The second building added to New England for 2010 is also highly detailed. Light spills out from the large double sliding door. The large overhang on the left side protects hay and other feed from the elements. Sculpted tack, reigns, and blankets also available at what is a fine place to keep horses. Name inspired by town South Deerfield, MA. Coordinating Accessory: "A Christmas Pony".

Salem Willows Series - A new series within the New England Village. Great for fall and Halloween!
The earliest section of the House of the Seven Gables was built in 1668 for Capt. John Turner. It remained in his family for three generations.
Facing south towards Salem Harbor, it was originally a two-room, 2 1⁄2-story house with cross-gables and a massive central chimney. This portion now forms the middle of the house.
