“This was the first piece that I sculpted in the summer of 1999. It came about intuitively, and so it was natural that the result ended up being very open to interpretation. The bird can be protection, comfort or healing. When I created it, I was thinking about the idea of fragility and how we sometimes need to heal our inside — our soul. A bird is so fragile and vulnerable … a metaphor for our inner feelings. This piece helped define Willow Tree.” —Susan Lordi

I bought the Angel of Healing for my friend. She is also the nurse that trained me in the profession. She is a phenomenal person, gentle and kind in spirit, everything to which we should aspire to become, both as nurses and people. Her patience is unmatched, believe me I tested that plenty. She had to retire due to unforeseen circumstances. She IS this angel, it suited her perfectly and made the perfect gift. It was packed well and arrived before expected! Would highly recommend this company and this angel.
