Angel of Mine From Willow Tree Collection

$40.00
Sku: 26124
A gift to celebrate new beginnings, new babies, new families… and the loving relationships that develop between parent and child, grandparent and child… Willow Tree is a reminder of someone we want to keep close, or a memory we want to touch. Hand-carved figures reveal their expression through body gestures only… a tilt of the head, placement of the hands, a turn of the body. Each piece is designed to be open to interpretation from the viewer. “Willow Tree isn’t so much about the tangible piece. It represents an emotion, or it marks a memory.” –Susan Lordi. A gift of Willow Tree communicates beyond words.

"This piece is inspired by the memory of holding my children when they were really tiny … holding them so close that it involves all of your senses … the scent of the fuzzy head against your cheek, the skin-to-skin warmth, the realization that you can love another being so very, very much. I wanted to capture that sensory memory that every mother has from when she held her newborn infant—an innermost quiet joy. The sentiment has a lullaby feel to it.” —Susan Lordi

Jim Shore Has Done It Again!!

What an absolutely exquisite “carving” to add to my Eeyore and Friends Collection! As a fan of Eeyore, his lovable companions, Disney and Jim Shore, they have all come together in perfect unison to create … dare I say it?? … my very favorite carved scene by Jim Shore and perhaps, even my favorite gathering in the entire Hundred Acre Wood! BRAVO!!! Magnifico!!!

Companion to the new bunny holding carrots, sort of, this little guy is so playful with a butterfly on his nose.

With a Tilt to his Cap

Like how caps are tilted for gnomes lately. And I especially like the stash of rockets for July 4!
